About WaterDoctor
Bridging cutting-edge academic research to commercial water treatment solutions for a sustainable future.
Our Story
WaterDoctor was founded in 2025 in Singapore, but our journey began over a decade ago. Our technology originates from 10+ years of intensive R&D at the National University of Singapore (NUS), where our founding team — PhD researchers in environmental engineering, microbiology, and AI — dedicated themselves to solving one of aquaculture's most fundamental challenges: water quality management.
What started as groundbreaking doctoral research into simultaneous nitrification-denitrification (SND) bacteria has evolved into a comprehensive, AI-powered biological water treatment ecosystem. We bridge the gap between academic excellence and commercial impact, turning peer-reviewed science into deployable solutions that protect aquatic life, reduce costs, and eliminate antibiotics.
Today, WaterDoctor operates from CT Hub 2 in Singapore, with demonstration sites across Singapore and China, serving the rapidly growing factory aquaculture industry.
Mission & Vision
Our Mission
Cleaner water, smarter systems, healthier food
We develop and deploy AI-powered biological water treatment technologies that make aquaculture more sustainable, efficient, and safe for consumers worldwide.
Our Vision
Make every drop of water create value
We envision a future where every aquaculture facility operates with zero antibiotics, minimal environmental impact, and full supply chain transparency — powered by intelligent biological systems.
